Business Audit

Why look at the way you work?

When you are busy running a business, familiar tasks become part of the routine. You copy the same information, chase the same documents, answer the same questions and check whether someone has completed the next step. You keep doing them because that is how the work has always been done.

Each task may take only a few minutes. Together, they draw on your time, attention and energy. For a business, that can mean higher administration costs, delays and less capacity for the work that brings in revenue.

An audit gives you space to look at those routines with fresh eyes. We examine the work, question the unnecessary steps and identify improvements that fit your team, tools and priorities.

02

Who This Is For

→ Business owners who spend too much of their day organising, checking and following things up.
→ Small teams repeating manual tasks or entering the same information in several places.
→ Growing businesses whose processes have developed informally over time.
→ Businesses considering AI or automation and wanting a clear basis for deciding where to start.

03

A business analyst's approach

My background combines business analysis, quality assurance and digital delivery. I bring that experience to understanding how work moves through a business: what people need, how information is handled, where handovers become difficult and how a proposed change will work in practice.

We look at the people and processes as well as the tools. My aim is to help you see the reviewed area more clearly and leave with decisions you understand and can act on.

How It Works

01

Agree the focus

We discuss what you want to understand and choose the appropriate depth of review.

02

Examine the work

We review the relevant tasks, systems and handovers, with deeper interviews and mapping where included.

03

Identify and prioritise improvements

I separate immediate changes from opportunities that need further design or implementation.

04

Review the findings together

You receive the agreed written output and a clear view of your next steps.

Decide what happens next

You can use the findings with your own team, work with an existing provider or ask me to implement selected improvements. The audit is a standalone service, and the recommendations remain useful whichever route you choose.

FAQ

Will you automate the processes as part of the audit?+
The audit provides analysis and recommendations. Implementation is agreed separately, so you can decide which changes to make and how to deliver them.
Will I receive a map of all my business processes?+
The Quick Roadmap gives a high-level view of the selected area. The Deep Business Audit includes detailed mapping of the processes within its agreed scope. A wider business review can be included in a larger engagement.
Do the recommendations all involve AI?+
They can include simpler routines, clearer responsibilities, better use of existing software and automation where it adds value. We consider what will help the business in practice.
What should I prepare?+
Before we start, I will explain what information is useful for your chosen review. This may include examples of recurring tasks, the tools you use and the parts of the work that feel difficult or time-consuming.
Can we do this online?+
Yes. Online reviews are available, with in-person work in Nottingham and the surrounding area by arrangement.

See your business with a clearer perspective.
